The flea market

We needed to get out some today. We took a taxi to the flea market. No livestock there. We walked for hours up and down the rows. Andrew bought a soccer ball, my idea. The boys needed something to play with.
We walked to the Carter's place. We sat and talked for awhile. They went to meet some of the kids that returned from camp. We walked over to a mall and ate lunch. It was a very pretty mall. A large contrast between where we had been all morning. It is just a block away from the flea market.
We walked to the orphanage. It was said to be a 15 min walk. It took about 30 min. Our 20 min walk, uphill, is not as far. We were tired when we arrived. We had to wait a few minutes for the kids classes to be finished. We were glad to sit. A few of the kids stopped by to say hello.
We saw the English teacher. She showed us her class. Her husband had done some of the painting in her room. She showed us the books we had donated and said how proud she was of them. She took us to show us the math class. We knew the teacher and 4 of the boys in there.
After gathering the children, we walked back to the apt. Lots of walking today! We gave the kids a snack and watched movies. The kids watched a kid movie and the girls watched a girl movie.
I realized there was not time to watch the end of the movie. We had to eat dinner soon. We cooked fried potatoes, chicken with salad. Heather and I had stopped by the bread store to get bread for dinner. It was still hot. We decided we could not wait for dinner and ate it at snack time. We did save the dessert we bought for dinner. It was also still warm when we bought it.
The oldest just called to say good night. Her sim card had not worked for months. We bought her a new one yesterday. She has called us 3 times in the 24 hours the phone has been fixed.
We gave the boy the jacket that we had bought him for his birthday. He did not wear one again today. He was so pleased to have it. I'll be glad if he wears it. He tends to not bring a jacket. Maybe now that he has his own he will bring it.
