Our first Ukrainian dinner party

I finally slept a little late! Masha, Rachel and I headed to the "flea market". Ricky stayed here with the other 3 to do school. We met the Carter's and Linda for lunch. After lunch our group headed to the orphanage to see the 3 children. Ricky and the other children met us there.
We took them ice skating in the park. It is in a tent type structure. All said the ice was very bumpy. They had a good time. Little princessa was doing much better by the time we left.
We invited the Carter's group over for awhile. We stopped at the store and bought Verrinici. The Carter's boy was at the orphanage. Linda went to meet him. We called Sue. She and Zhenya were finished at the orphanage, so we invited them over.
So our first dinner party in Ukraine. 3 types of Verrrinici: potato, cabbage and meat. I boiled cabbage and we bought Ukrainian cookies. We had to eat in shifts, children first. I thought it was great we had enough plates for 9 kids. Masha washed the dishes. I dried them and fixed the adult plates. Dinner for 17! I have said hospitality is not my gift. I love that God works on us to change us and make us more like Him. So we had good "American" coffee and good conversation. After dinner Heather washed a few dishes, then Andrew a few and the Ricky finished them. I was glad. I am tired.
Vicki tells me I am getting old. My knees were aching today. I left this morning and it was warm. I was cold most of the day because I left my coat. We walk alot every day. I am not sure if it is the weather or why my knees are hurting.
We have been so busy since we arrived in Ukraine. There is no time for us to be sad. We are too busy. We thought we would have time to discuss names today. We did for 2 min. So we will decide tomorrow. The littlest was pleased with her name as I wrote it on her cup for her approval.
We plan to have a birthday party tomorrow for the oldest birthday.
