We did not sleep much last night. The power came back on about 11:00 or so and all the lights came on. Rachel, Andrew, Ricky and I all got up to turn them off. We had a glass of milk and back to bed. Around 12:00 we finally slept.
We woke up at 5:00 to leave for the region. Ricky went with Rachel and Sasha and beat us there. They went to the inspector's office to deliver the paperwork. They tried to see the children at the orphanage. They were told no by the director, until they had the inspector there for the formal meeting.
We arrived at the orphanage, after the 5 hour drive, to hear we could not see the children. We left and went to each lunch. Kelly, Vicki and Linda met us at the pizza place and we talked for awhile.
Ricky, Sasha and I went back to the inspector's office. We were told to return at 4. We went to look at an apt. The inside was new, with 2 br and a sofa sleeper. We took it. The ones others told us about were more expensive. It is snowing again. So it is not in walking distance. It is in a part of the city we had not been before.
Back to the inspector's office. Ricky's 3rd time today. We listened to her explain how things would go and what she would say. It was the standard rights of the children.
She went with us to the orphanage. We saw 2, then one went to get the other. We listened as the inspector talked to the children.
We were given some time to spend with the children at the orphanage.
We went for pizza with our American friends. Picked up a few groceries and now off to bed. We are exhausted.
